WATCH: DZ Deathrays, ‘No Sleep’ (feat. Arj Barker)

So technically this isn’t really a local story, but shut up, this is my blog, I can do what I want.

Brisbane punk duo DZ Deathrays are hitting the road next month for a big national tour to launch their debut album, ‘Bloodstreams.’ They’re playing The Patch on April 19 with Velociraptor and a just announced local support in My Little Underground (click for more details), and have just released this sweet film clip for latest single ‘No Sleep.’

And naturally, it features Arj Barker of comedy/Flight of the Conchords/general awesome dude fame.

The simple clip pays tribute to Paul Simon’s classic video ‘You Can Call Me Al’ (see it here, if you don’t know what I’m talking about); it’s pretty weird to see Barker miming lyrics about partying. Then they smash down the walls and a bunch of dogs run past.

It’s pretty good.

As mentioned, locals My Little Underground have just been announced as supports for the Huchi Muchi presented show. Get your tickets now!
