TOUR NEWS: Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders, Ghoul, Jordan Ireland (The Middle East)

Sydney indie-pop dude Jack Ladder has just released his critically-acclaimed third album, ‘Hurtsville,’ and is fresh off supporting LA psych-rock babes Warpaint on their recent Australian tour. Backed by his new band, The Dreamlanders, Ladder will be stopping in to Wollongong in October, as part of the Hurtsville album launch tour.

Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders will play The Patch on October 8th, with Sydney bandĀ Ghoul as support. Radar saw Ghoul at Splendour In The Grass last weekend, and let me tell you, these guys are something special; hazy, dreamy electronica, with a massive dollop of indie-pop to get you dancing, they’re one of the brightest prospects in the Sydney electro scene. It’ll be one of the sonically weirdest, yet awesome, gigs you’ll likely see in Wollongong this year. For more info, see the Facebook event page.

If you can’t wait til October, however, you’re in luck; Ladder will be in the area in solo mode later this month, playing Sea Notes record store in Stanwell Park. He’ll be joined by Jordan Ireland (of the very recently disbanded The Middle East) and Marf Loth on Saturday August 13, from 2-5pm.
