A little slow on the tour news front as of late, but still, a couple of sweet shows have been announced in recent days.
Josh Pyke is getting set to release his new album, ‘Only Sparrows,’ and will test drive the LP with a national tour in September. The Sydney singer-songwriter will play the Wollongong Unibar on September 9th, with support from Emma Louise and The Paper Kites. Tickets go on sale June 9 through Bigtix; $32.50 will score you entry to the show.
Perth’s Young Revelry announced their ‘Never That Close’ tour earlier in the week, in support of their new single of the same name. They’re playing dates from Brisbane to Adelaide, and will stop in at Yours and Owls cafe on July 14, with Chicks Who Love Guns in support. Anyone who has ever been inside Owls will tell you how tiny their room is, so this awesome rock’n’roll show is going to be absolutely nuts. Tickets are $10 at the door (no pre-sales).
Finally, Wollongong’s own Pom Pom is returning to town again. Currently based in Melbourne, the electro/industrial artist is heading out on a quick east coast tour at the beginning of July. She will play at the newly opened Sol Studios space on July 7th, alongside Chainsaw Mascara, Narly, Leo J and Paul Danger (DJ set). Tickets are $7 at the door; the show is all ages, and BYO!
