TOUR NEWS: Dead Letter Circus, Closure In Moscow, Calling All Cars

Two bits of tour news for you today, and both are pretty swell!

Dead Letter Circus recently announced that they will be undertaking a fairly massive tour through August and September. Titled the ‘No Fracking Way’ tour, it may have a strange name, but it’s got a story behind it; ‘fracking’ is a term denoting ‘hydraulic fracturing,’ a dangerous and controversial way of extracting coal seam gas. Without wanting to devolve into a science lecture, the technique compromises and damages water supplies. The tour will aim to raise awareness of the dangers of ‘fracking’ and coal seam gas mining in general.

The tour stops into the Wollongong Unibar on August 20th. The tour sees a revolving door of support acts, but Wollongong will be treated to Melbourne’s alternative rockers Closure In Moscow, and Perth act Wolves. Tickets go on sale June 16, and go for just $20. See here for more details on the tour.

And just announced today, Melbourne rock trio Calling All Cars will play Waves Nightclub on September 3rd, as part of their ‘Dancing With A Dead Man’ national album tour. It will be an all-Melbourne affair in terms of lineup, with support coming from rock’n’roll group Boy In A Box, and psych-rockers Redcoats.

Tickets go on sale through Moshtix on June 15, starting at just $16. Jump onto the Facebook event page for more info.
