TOUR NEWS: The Vines, Papa vs Pretty, Bleeding Knees Club

Some great big juicy tour news for fans of rock’n’roll has just dropped, with THE VINES announcing that they will be dropping into the Wollongong Unibar in September, as part of their ‘Future Primitive’ album tour.

Touring the country through August and September, The Vines – Australian grunge revivalists, and one of our most successful rock’n’roll exports of the last decade – will stop at the Unibar on September 1st. On the back of their fifth album ‘Future Primitive,’ the band will also play Byron Bay, Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Also tagging along on the tour are Sydney up-and-coming rock’n’rollers Papa vs Pretty, whose blistering live performances – in addition to their brand new album, ‘United In Isolation’ – have been getting rave reviews around the country. Completing the lineup of the biggest Aussie rock tours of 2011 is Gold Coast surf-punk duo Bleeding Knees Club who return from touring the UK and USA, and recording their debut album in New York City, in time to take part in this national tour.

And in even better news, The Vines have announced that they will pick a local act to open the show in each city!

Tickets go on sale June 17, through Oztix, Bigtix, Redback Music, and at the Unishop; be quick though, as tickets for this bumper lineup is sure to sell out quick!
