Some very exciting news today, as Radar brings you information on the very FIRST “Radar presents” gig! In conjunction with the very excellent Soundbreak Live, June 17 will see A Cat Named Kesey, Rocking Horse, The Good God Damned and Pat Arnold take the stage at the Rydges CBD Bar.

Continuing Soundbreak’s recent uber-successful run of fundraising gigs, which raised much-needed funds for the New Zealand earthquake and the Red Cross’ efforts after the Japanese earthquake, all proceeds from the show will aid the Starlight Foundation. The Starlight Foundation is one of Australia’s best-known charities, dedicated to improving the lives of sick children.

Featuring four of Wollongong’s best up-and-coming acts, the show is sure to be an absolute cracker. A Cat Named Kesey blew everyone away at the last Soundbreak show, and have moved into a headlining role with their seriously dance-able style of blues rock sure to get audiences movin,’ groovin’ and shakin’ their groove thang. Rocking Horse continue the bluesy feel, while The Good God Damned inject a more upbeat rock’n’roll feel to the night. And, of course, who doesn’t know Pat Arnold? The Inanimate Objects frontman will be opening the CBD Bar show with his acoustic solo project.

Continuing the theme established at the last Soundbreak fundraising show, gig-goers are encouraged to dress up in their best formal attire. The previous show saw hundreds turn out in their best suits and cocktail dresses, so make sure you dust off that old tux, do your hair all fancy and rock out in style.

Entry is just $5; with four excellent local acts on the bill, that’s just $1.25 per act! Let’s face it, you’re not going to get better value than that.
